Playful Linear is a project exploring how to create origami forms and structures through knit. Louisa was inspired to do this project from her internship at Studio Samira Boon. She was really interested in how they used the double cloth of the jacquard to create fold lines within the fabric and wanted to explore how she could develop a similar technique using double bed knitting. Louisa experimented with a variety of different techniques using the two beds of the knitting machine to create folds within the fabric.
